Reflection: I was learning to relate to the characters in the story. I can understand the characters feelings by making a personal connection I found it easy because I could understand it. I enjoyed it.

Holiday recipe

Reflection: I was learning to create a holiday recipe by using adjectives to describe my noun. I found it easy because I understand adjectives and nouns.  I need to practice changing my describing words with a synonym.  I enjoyed it a lot.

James and the giant peach

Reflection: I was learning to create a poster for James and the giant peach. I found it tricky because when I put it on my blog it had some thing on it and I had to restart and I got help from a classmate and my teacher. I need to practice creating a poster. I enjoyed doing this.

Measurement scavenger hunt

Reflection: I am learning to use measurement. I found it easy and hard to do this follow up task because I didn't understand measurement. I need to practice more measurement. I enjoyed this task.

Volcano inquiry

Reflection
I was learning to gather information. I found it easy to do because I had some slides and a video and I also had a little help from my buddy. I enjoyed my volcano inquiry.

Kingfisher art

Reflection:I was learning to draw a king fisher. I used warm colors for the background which we did first and cool colors for the bird. I found it easy to do the background because I just needed to roll some paint on a plate looking paper and I found painting the bird hard because we needed to paint the bird with a lot of detail. I enjoyed doing my kingfisher art.

Monster poem

Reflection: I am learning to write a poem. I found it tricky to write a poem because I didn't know what figurative language to use. I don't really understand figurative language. I did lots of rhyming. I enjoyed doing my poem.

Arrays

Reflection:I was learning to solve multiplication  problems with arrays. I found it easy to use arrays and times tables because I know my times tables from 1 to 10.

Measuring length

Reflection: I learning to estimate the length of 100 cm using a personal bench mark. I then checked my answer using standard measure which was a ruler. I found it tricky to measure length because I didn't quite understand measuring length.

Summarising

Reflection:I was learning to summarise the main ideas. I found it tricky to summarise the main ideas because I didn't understand how to summarise. I still find it tricky to summarise so I need to practice summarising by understanding the main ideas.

A Moment in Time

Reflection:I was learning to be a soldier and see how it would be like by using my senses in my writing. I found it hard to use my senses in my writing because I got distracted by a classmate. Next time I will move away from distractions.

Information report

Rounding numbers

 Reflection:  I was learning to round numbers. I found rounding numbers to the closest ten and hundred was tricky because I haven't done  rounding numbers  before. I did lots of practice and I am now beginning to understand.

Skimming and scanning

Reflection: I was learning to summarise information by skimming and scanning. I found it easy to do this follow up task because I used the clues from my book to help me type this follow up task.

Summarising Information

Reflection: I was learning to summarise information from the book's text. I found it tricky to summarise information because I haven't summarised before. I learnt that I had to find the main ideas in the text. I need to keep practicing this.

Bike skills

I was learning to stay safe on bikes.I learned to check my helmet and bike chain before riding a bike.

Sort NZ birds into categories

Reflection: I found it tricky to find out the birds that are native, introduced and endemic because I didn't know which box to put the birds names in. I didn't listen to the teacher when she said there was a link to help me at the top so a buddy helped me to find it.  I learnt lots doing this.

Reflection It was tricky because I found it hard to find the answers in the story. A buddy and I worked together.
